I have been selling on Amazon now for over ten years and as a private label seller for almost 6 years. Over this time, I always get the same question…what is your most important secret to achieving success on Amazon?

Many times, I think people asking me this are looking for the “secret sauce” that I would just tell them what it is and magically turn their Amazon business into a multiple million-dollar machine.

I wish there was a magic wand that I could just wave and make it happen for so many Amazon sellers that I see struggling to achieve success…but this just doesn’t exist.

Now don’t get all upset now thinking that I had “The Secret” to share with you and now I am telling you that it does not exist…because there is a SECRET!

And yes, I am going to share it with you today. Fact is this one thing can have a tremendous impact on whether you have success selling on Amazon or not.

But first, I want to share some stats with you…

• Did you know that in 2018, there were over 200,000 Amazon sellers generating more than $100,000 per year selling on Amazon?
• Did you know that in that same year of 2018, over 50,000 sellers exceeded $500,00 in yearly sales and over 23,000 sellers exceeded $1,000,000 in yearly sales?
• Current sales on Amazon now accounts for over 50% of all online sales in the USA and around 5% of all retail sales both online and offline in the USA…Crazy right!
• Amazon continues to grow at around 40% year over year and shows no end of slowing down in sight.

Now why do you think I shared these statistics with you?

The reason is because I want you first to fully understand that not only is the Amazon selling opportunity still huge…but it is still growing! In addition to that, there are many sellers generating HUGE amounts of income from their Amazon private label businesses.

This is highly important because I hear a lot of people talking about how they missed the boat with the online business model. How you cannot make money selling private label products anymore. I hear people saying that it is impossible to make money selling on Amazon. I am hearing people say, “I tried that business and lost money.”

Why do they believe this? Well in reality, most people do fail in their endeavors to sell on Amazon. Negative people love sharing with others that it did not work for them. (misery loves company) Because a bunch of people posting on social media and in groups talk about how Amazon did not work for them, it must not work, right? This is just not true.

They did not take the time to learn the secret that could have help guided them. A secret that is a proven path to success. They may have even known about this secret but decided that they were not going to act on the knowledge that was shared with them.

Or maybe they just figured they could do all that is needed on their own without ever learning from those who are actually successful doing, achieving, and implementing.

In order to achieve success, simply find someone that has already achieved the success. Find someone that you know has been operating a successful business and duplicate what they did. By following the exact same path to achieve your own success you lessen the risk of failure, lost time and money.

Sounds simple enough…right? The only problem with this is that most people that have achieved this success that you are looking to follow are not willing to share their secrets with you.

Ah but guess what? There are some highly successful people in this Amazon business that believe in the abundance mindset. A mindset that says, there is more than enough. Enough customers, enough products, enough abundance. These are experts that are willing to help guide you to achieving your own success as they know that mentoring you will not negatively affect their own success but by helping others they excel.

These are the people, the teachers, mentors and coaches that you want to grab a hold of, learn everything that they do. By doing this, it will put you and your business on to the fast road to success!

Think about it…from a very young age, we learn from our parents, teachers and coaches how to do something successfully. If we want to learn to play baseball, we learn from our coach how to correctly swing the bat and hit the ball. If we want to learn how to play an instrument, we go to a music teacher who will teach us how to read music and play correctly.

For whatever reason when an Amazon business is started, the general thought process is that we can figure it out on our own or that there is everything we need to learn from a course that does not have any interactive assistance. Why do we think we can easily succeed in any business let alone an Amazon business when all our lives we learn from having a coach, mentor and/or some kind of mastermind group to learn together with?

Mentorship is the key! Without it, you will waste time and money trying to figure it out on your own when you could have simply invested into your own future by joining a mentor/mastermind group.
